New York Style Cheesecake

Equipment

  • Deep roasting pan
  • Aluminum foil
  • Food processor optional
  • Glass bowl to melt butter
  • Mixing bowl
  • Spatula
  • 9" springform pan
  • KitchenAid or hand mixer

Ingredients
  

  • Non-stick coating cooking spray
  • 15 graham crackers
  • 2 tablespoons of butter
  • 4 8 ounce packages of cream cheese
  • 1 ½ cups of white sugar
  • ¾ cup of milk
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • ¼ cup of all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon of vanilla

Instructions
 

  • Preheat over to 350 degrees
  • Spray springform pan with non stick coating
  • Crush graham crackers (crush in bag or use food processor)
  • Melt butter
  • Mix crackers and melted butter in mixing bowl until well combined
  • Press into bottom of springform pan
  • Mix cream cheese and sugar until smooth
  • Add milk and then eggs 1 at a time
  • Add sour cream, flour, and vanilla
  • DO NOT OVER MIX
  • Pour filling on prepared crust
  • Wrap springform pan with aluminum foil to the top, then place in deep pan
  • Add water to pan to reach 1 inch high on springform pan
  • Bake in over for 1 hour then turn off and leave door closed
  • Let set in oven for about 5 hours
  • Once complete, take springform out of pan and release the lock, cool in fridge
